Best Peanut Butter Cookies
Here’s the recipe for those cover cookies. Just like all the recipes included, easy to prepare, delicious to enjoy!
1 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 well-beaten eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons
1 cup peanut butter
(crunchy or smooth)
Cream sugars and shortening until fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla; beat.
Sift flour with salt and soda.
Mix dry with creamed ingredients.
Add peanut butter; mix again.
Knead until smooth.
Roll into 3/4- to 1-inch balls.
Place 1-inch apart on greased cookie sheets.
Flatten with a fork, crisscross.
Bake at 400°F. for 5 to 10 minutes.
